Camille Roos is a painter, poet, and public artist who uses dynamic, instinctive marks to convey the primality of direct experience.

Camille is committed to telling the story of soul, habitat, and body as an extension of her prayer practice and connection to place. She has developed public art installations around death and the afterlife, participated in ritual theatre productions, and written volumes of poetry on the themes of motherhood and love.

Camille was first recognized for painting at Art All State via the Worcester Art Museum. Shortly after, Camille received a scholarship to attend early college. Camille is a graduate of Bard College at Simon’s Rock (Associates of Arts in Integrative Philosophy and Visual Arts) and Goddard College (Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies) as well as University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine where she received Professional End of Life Doula Certification. Camille completed trainings in Buddhist studies (Tara Mandala and Shambhala Mountain Center), advanced energy healing (Sanctuary Healing Arts), and outdoor leadership (Wild Earth).

Camille is a grateful recipient of the New England Foundation for the Arts Public Learning Fund, Mass Cultural Recovery Grant, Local Cultural Council Funding, the Elizabeth Blodgett Hall Literary Merit scholarship, and the Acceleration to Excellence scholarship. Camille was a resident artist at Prisma Studio LX in Lisbon, Portugal (2024), Babayan Culture House in Cappadocia, Turkey (2010), and a creative assistant to independent filmmaker Marc Israel on a hitch-hiking expedition through Southeast Asia (2011).

“I slow down to feel myself.
I make the sensory visible.
I give shape to my love.”
